Anaheim GardenWalk Opens May 08'

Being a life long resident of Anaheim, It's exciting to see some really nice development nearby. Typically, for high-end shopping and eating, you have to make the 25 minute drive (traffic permitting) to the Irvine Spectrum. Well, no longer! We have our own version of the high-end outdoor mall, coming soon and I'm especially excited about the Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Steakhouse. Fine dining has made a huge insurgence into Anaheim with the recent openings of Ruth's Chris and Morton's Steakhouses. Here are some renderings of the coming attraction.

Hometown Hero

Like many people, I'm a fan of the NBC show Heroes. One of the main Characters, Peter Petrelli, is played by Milo Ventimiglia. Milo was born in raised in Anaheim, CA. He attended El Modena High School where he wrestled and held the office of ASB President. He graduated in 1995 and has since gone on to become America's favorite television hero.
Watch the Drucker video to see Peter Petrelli's brother, Nathan, save New York when Peter lost control of his powers and went nuclear (season 1).

Anaheim Angels Breaking News

I was listening to the Joe MacDonald show on KLAC 570 when Joe broke this story...
According to him, All-Star Torri Hunter of the Minnesota Twins, is now an Anaheim Angel! I haven't seen it on the internet yet or ESPN, but he swears it's a done deal. If this is true, it is an awesome pickup for our club. He will provide great defense and a more pop in the already potent Angel lineup. Click on his picture for Torri's beefy stats. **Update: The story is now up on the Angel website

Cloverfield has everyone saying WTF?

We first saw a trailer for this flick when Transformers opened. I saw the Bad Robot logo and immediately got excited thinking I was gonna see something LOST related. Once I realized that wasn't the case, I turned my attention to what looked to be another Godzilla movie. Well it turms out that the mystery behind this teaser trailer would in itself be the biggest viral marketing ploy a movie has ever created. The plot for this film is still a mystery, in fact, the title for this movie was only recently revealed to the public. It is refreshing for once to not have a movie completely revealed in the trailer, and to actually anticipate what the movie experience may turn out to be. Spiderman 3 was horrible at revealing too much before it screened, and it ruined that movie-going experience for me. I'm surprised they didn't show the death of Harry Osbourn in the trailer. Oh wait, they did show that!

What does it all mean?

This cryptic image really freaks me out. For no other reason than it's late and I'm kinda delirious.
I've always been intrigued by the mysteries of Ancient Egypt, The Freemasons, and Extraterrestrials. Yes I said it.
There are dozens of books and articles that are devoted to culminating these subjects into a grand mystery that spans the past 5,000 years. A secret, if you will, that holds information regarding mankind's origins and how everything came to be as it is today.

Razor is frakking awesome!

I found Battlestar Galactica's new movie Razor in above-average quality divx format. It is set to premier on SciFi on November 24th. You can find it here and it definitely does not disappoint. It should hold you over until the final season debuts next year. The Razor movie shows what went down onboard the Pegasus under admiral Kane and flashbacks to a 20 year-old Adama in the first Colonial war. The highlight of the movie is seeing Gen 1 Cylons in action. The picture above is unrelated, just thought it was cool.

Fresh and Easy crosses the pond into OC

The much hyped UK food-chain made it's official debut today in Anaheim at the corner of Lincoln and Western. The chain, by many accounts, is supposed to be a competitor of Trader Joes. They specialize in everyday household items and ready-to-eat meals available at a very low cost. They are strategically located within neighborhoods, so shoppers don't have to feel like they have to make a trek to a huge mega-store, just to pick up some milk and bread. Read the LA Times story for more info.

The Next Iron Chef Finale

It's only fitting that the two best chefs of the competition are left to duke it out in Kitchen Stadium. The challenges have been fun to watch and where else would you rather see it all come to a conclusion, but in front of the chairman himself. Chef Besh and Chef Symon have been my two favorites from the beginning and they exude the confidence and skill needed to be an Iron Chef. On Sunday Nov 11th at 9pm PST we will find out who's cuisine reigns supreme!
**UPDATE 11/11/07: Chef Mike Symon won the title of Iron Chef in the finale Sunday night. The secret ingredient was swordfish. The twist of the night was when the chairman decided to include the votes of Bobby Flay, Cat Cora, and Masihara Morimoto. We look forward to seeing chef Symon do battle in kitchen stadium.
