Happy trails to my Flickr account....moving on to Google pastures...

I decided to migrate my extensive collection of web-sized photos from Flickr to Picasa. There are a few reasons I made this change...

1) Flickr is owned by Yahoo and since CEO Jerry Yang stepped down, the Yahoo stock is dropping faster than the US dollar.
2) I own the G1 Google phone which has a killer app called Pictorial that manages Picasa albums with ease.
3) What if Flickr sinks with Yahoo? Where will my pictures go, into the cyberspace shitcan?
4) I actually like the Picasa UI better than Flickr, especially the flash created slideshows that can be embeded.
5) I've become a Google honk!

To help make this a seamless migration, I downloaded a snazzy little application called Migratr. This is great for transferring photos from one host site to another, OR to just download all of your web pics to your local hard drive.

Lost returns January 21st...finally!

I'm a huge fan of LOST, and have been from the beginning of the series. I can go on and on about the reasons I think its one of the best things ever made for the small screen. Instead, I'll wet your appetite for the Season 5 trailer that leads to the premier on Jan 21st.

I can't wait!!

Prop 8, the voters have spoken...

There is still way too much media coverage over this recently passed proposition. As a California voter, I understand that this is a hot topic, but the fact remains that it was democratically voted on, and PASSED! let it go.
The idea of homosexual "marriage" hangs over society like a hammer with the force of law and it's only just begun. It's pretty clear that the homosexual movement's obsession with marriage is not because large numbers of them actually want to marry each other. Research shows that homosexual relationships are fundamentally dysfunctional on many levels and “marriage" as most heterosexuals know it, isn't something they can achieve, or even desire. (In fact, over the last three months, the Sunday Boston Globe's marriage section hasn't had any photos of homosexual marriages. In the beginning it was full of them.) This is about putting the legal stamp of approval on homosexuality and imposing it with force throughout the various social and political institutions of a society that would never accept it otherwise.
Let the hate-mail rain down...

Monsters vs Aliens

It’s the first movie to be completely developed for 3D, instead of just converted to 3D in a post production process. Its something that needs to be experienced to be believed. Can't wait for this one, as I love 3D movies...

The 8th grade girls head into volleyball postseason

St. Justin heads into the playoffs with only one loss on the season. Good luck!

**UPDATE**
The 8th grade girls have won the second round and will play for the league championship.

**UPDATE**
The ladies played in the Socal Parochial league finals against St. Catherine. They took the returning champs to a third game and eventually lost 15-9. They placed second overall which is quite an accomplishment! Good Job Girls!
