Go Halos!

The Angels will be taking on the NY Yankees in the ALCS. Angel fans should feel good about our chances, as we are the only American League team that has a winning record against the Bronx Bombers. I can't wait to see what happens!

WTWTA

Really looking forward to this movie. I wonder if its going to have a tone that will be off-putting to younger children. I'm really amazed at art direction this film has taken as it looks exactly like the book we all read as children...

New Kohler Sink

Back in Dec of 2009 we received a cool gift from a friend. It was actually a high-end kitchen sink from Kohler. We finally decided to have it installed (I would have done it myself, except I lack the proper tools ;)

Congrats Tisha!

Tisha worked very hard to get her CRIS designation. She is only one of 5 professionals in her office to get this certification. Good Job babes! those test questions were tough.

4th annual Independence Day River Run

It's been sort of a tradition to make a trip out to Laughlin every 4th of July. This was our 4th year in a row of making the trip and it was just as fun as expected. With no boat this time around, we went with a Sea-Doo and everyone had a chance to rip around on it. Of course it was hotter than hell (116 degrees) but fortunately we were cooled off by a passing desert shower that lasted about 30 minutes. Everyone got sunburned on Day 1 , therefore, you may notice that everyone stayed coverd up the rest of the time (as you can tell from the picture) No luck at the casinos this year (which is also becoming tradition) and everyone seemed to enjoy the time away from home. See ya again next year!

Lakers in the 2009 Finals

One thing I've noticed in the pre-game hoopla leading up to the Finals, is the focus of Kobe Bryant. He appears to be calm, subdued and extremely focused. His maturity as a person and player has been enjoyable to watch. He realizes now, more than ever, that the success of his teammates will directly correlate with the Lakers hoisting up another championship banner. As a Laker fan, I am nervous and excited for this series!

A warning from our founding fathers

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."-

My little girl is graduating 8th grade on May 29th. This is a big step in her young life, and she has made her Mom and I very proud. Taylah will graduate St. Justin Martyr School with Honors. She should receive special recognition for her GPA, and the ceremonies will take place in the church beginning at 6:30pm. More details to come...
