Christmas 2013

This year, Missy was able her presents on her own. Once she got started, she never wanted to stop. The kids received some great gifts from Santa this year and here is the breakdown:
Tay: iPhone 5S, heating blanket, curling iron, clothes, gift cards and a laser printer
Ethan: New mattress, desk, gaming monitor, clothes and gift cards
Missy: Toys, clothes and more toys :)
We attempted a family portrait but Missy was not in the mood. We will see how they turned out very soon. Hopefully there is one that we can use, but more than likely, we are going to try again.

Ethan hits Jr. High!?

In another family milestone, Ethan, aka "Buddy" moves up to middle school and is now a member of the 7th grade. "Make it, or break it", as Mom would say. Our goal is to help him improve in all aspects of school and prep him for the big show. I'm going to enjoy watching him play football and basketball this year and I'm especially going to enjoy watching him become a fine young man.

She's flown the coop...

Well, it finally happened. Taylah moved into her dorm and began a important chapter in her life. I had been keeping my cool all this time, while Mom was struggling with the finality of it all. She would randomly break out into tears and I would tease her and comfort her. Now the tables have turned. I now find myself lost in thought as to where 18 years had gone. Now my eyes swell with tears. My baby is now officially an adult and from this point forward, she will grow more and more distant and begin her own life with us as mere specatators and cheerleaders.
Good Luck my Princess, Mommy and Daddy will always be here for you!

Graduation Day Class of 2013

My first born is graduating High School today. Taylah has made us very proud of all her accomplishments and we feel that this is just the beginning of a very successful and promising future.
In high school, she was a scholar athlete and rediscovered her knack for giving back. All of the volunteering and involvement in organizations has prepared her for future leadership roles and given her a sense of who she really is and what she really loves to do.

Taylah, continue to be a role model to all of those around you and good luck in College.

Yay!! So proud of Taylah and all of the college acceptance letters she has been receiving. After touring a few of the campuses, she has committed to San Diego State University. Go Aztecs!

Angels Opening Day 2013

The Angels go bananas over the winter and follow up the Pujols signing by acquiring Josh 'Freakin' Hamilton. This lineup is ridiculous and my wish is that they can at least win the division this year.
